Scientist for Programmable Logic and Embedded Software Development (m/f/d)

Aufgabe:

  1. Programmable logic and embedded software development for low-latency digital signal processing and control applications.
  2. Planning and commissioning of new hardware and preparation of post-production test firmware and software.
  3. Implementation and integration of new toolchains and techniques in our embedded software and firmware development framework.
  4. Analysis, design, verification, documentation, and maintenance of embedded software and firmware.
  5. Support for embedded software and firmware for particle accelerator operation.

Qualifikation:

  1. Completed scientific university degree in electronics engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or comparable knowledge.
  2. Proven experience in embedded systems development with a strong focus on Adaptive SoCs and FPGAs from AMD (Xilinx).
  3. Expertise in hardware description languages (VHDL required), C/C++, and scripting languages (Tcl, Python).
  4. Strong understanding of digital signal processing, control theory, and high-performance computing principles.
  5. Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools.
  6. Experience with the Yocto Project and real-time operating systems as well as with the MicroTCA standard is beneficial.
  7. Proficiency in Linux and version control systems such as Git.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Excellent English communication skills.
