Scientist for Programmable Logic and Embedded Software Development (m/f/d)

Aufgabe:
- Programmable logic and embedded software development for low-latency digital signal processing and control applications.
- Planning and commissioning of new hardware and preparation of post-production test firmware and software.
- Implementation and integration of new toolchains and techniques in our embedded software and firmware development framework.
- Analysis, design, verification, documentation, and maintenance of embedded software and firmware.
- Support for embedded software and firmware for particle accelerator operation.
Qualifikation:
- Completed scientific university degree in electronics engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or comparable knowledge.
- Proven experience in embedded systems development with a strong focus on Adaptive SoCs and FPGAs from AMD (Xilinx).
- Expertise in hardware description languages (VHDL required), C/C++, and scripting languages (Tcl, Python).
- Strong understanding of digital signal processing, control theory, and high-performance computing principles.
- Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools.
- Experience with the Yocto Project and real-time operating systems as well as with the MicroTCA standard is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Linux and version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent English communication skills.
