Group Accounting is responsible for Deutsche Börse Group’s financial reporting under IFRS and HGB and serves as the central competence center for accounting-related matters across the Group. The section defines accounting policies and standards, supports business initiatives with accounting expertise, and ensures high-quality and compliant external financial reporting. In addition, Group Accounting plays a key role in M&A transactions, capital management activities, and major finance transformation initiatives, including SAP migration, integration, and implementation projects across the Group.

At Deutsche Börse, Financial Accounting & Controlling is a centralized service provider responsible for accounting and reporting at both consolidated and legal entity levels. Join our highly international team, comprising over 50 nationalities across our Frankfurt, Luxembourg, and Prague locations, as a talented Financial Reporting Specialist (HGB). In this role, you will be responsible for accounting according to German Commercial Code (HGB(RechKredV)), the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end closings under the applicable law and the related quality controls.

Your responsibilities:

  • Performing financial accounting and reporting for different legal entities (bank and non-banks) in accordance with HGB (RechKredV).
  • Monthly reconciliation between IFRS and HGB/RechKredV ledgers.
  • Conducting monthly and quarterly closings.
  • Preparing and coordinating annual reports.
  • Providing support to business units regarding management reports.
  • Collaborating actively with accounting colleagues in other locations.
  • Facilitating communication with internal and external auditors.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven professional experience of at least three years in a comparable accounting or finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS; experience gained in an audit firm is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly within the SAP FI module.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
