Head of Innovation and Digitalisation

Deutsche Börse Group is strengthening its position as a leader in creating the marketplace of the future. To support this, we are seeking an Innovation and Digital Transformation Unit Head (f/m/d) to lead our strategy and execution around automation in a dynamic environment. Our focus is on digitization and automation of business processes, providing guidance through our Automation Solutions units, which include a Centre of Excellence, automation tools and platforms, and project teams for automation implementation.

We prioritize User Experience and Efficiency, ensuring compliance, agility, and flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing ecosystem of tools and processes. Our mission is to free human resources from repetitive tasks, allowing focus on complex and advanced activities.

Our implementations leverage platforms like Mendix, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Power Automate, and our in-house Digitization Platform with microservices for OCR, Data Mining, NLP, and document classification. We follow Agile principles with our framework, and our governance spans from simple automation cases to critical material changes.

The Innovation and Digital Transformation Unit Head is responsible for delivering and supporting automation solutions and developing our Digitization Platform. The role requires a self-driven leader with experience in managing complex change and development projects, understanding business needs, and aligning technical solutions accordingly.

Your Responsibilities

1. Innovation & IT Transformation:
   • Lead innovation projects exploring new automation opportunities and technologies.
   • Enhance artificial intelligence capabilities within automation solutions.
   • Standardize and promote Automation Platforms across the organization to increase adoption and value.
2. Delivery and Operations Stability:
   • Deliver automation use cases and platform enhancements within budgets.
   • Participate in evolving automation development processes.
   • Maintain transparency on progress and risks.
   • Document processes, plans, governance, and reports.
3. Line Management:
   • Lead a team of 7 resources plus external partners.
   • Promote Agile project management practices.
   • Manage backlogs, timelines, and releases.
   • Improve agility and maturity through coaching.
   • Ensure budget rigor.
   • Assist with other automation initiatives like Low-Code and RPA.

Your Profile

• University degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience leading technical projects and process change in Agile and Waterfall SDLC.
• Strong understanding of business context and technical alignment.
• Experience with microservices, streaming platforms, cloud, and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Google Cloud, Kafka, OpenShift, Mendix, and AI solutions.
• Experience working in distributed teams and in project/release management.
• Knowledge of resource management and the financial industry, especially investment funds, is beneficial.
