Administrator Network and Firewall (m/f/d)

We look after our more than 900,000 insured persons with professional expertise and North German charm in the Weser-Ems region as well as in the state of Bremen and in three rehabilitation clinics in all matters relating to pensions and rehabilitation. We are looking to strengthen our head office in Oldenburg at the earliest possible date with a

Administrator Network and Firewall (m/f/d)

• Administration, configuration and monitoring of the existing network and firewall infrastructure, in particular on Cisco devices
• Planning and implementing new network projects and optimizing existing networks
• Ensuring network security by implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs and other security measures
• Analyzing and resolving network problems and faults
• Creation and maintenance of network and system documentation
• First level support as part of the rolling telephone hotline staffing (approx. two to four half-day services per month)

Qualifications:

• Completed studies in the field of computer science (or comparable) or alternatively completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d)
• System integration with the willingness to acquire corresponding additional qualifications
• Sound knowledge and practical experience with (Cisco) network devices (routers, switches, etc.)
• Knowledge of network security protocols and technologies (e.g. VPN, IPsec, SSL/TLS)
• Experience in the administration and configuration of firewalls, ideally Cisco ASA or Firepower
• Experience with IPv6 networks and their implementation desirable
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or comparable are an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills, an independent, structured and reliable way of working and the ability to work in a team
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Class B driving license and willingness to travel for several days if necessary
