The Network (NT) procurement domain bears worldwide commercial responsibility in supporting the network needs of both Deutsche Telekom and Orange, ensuring access to the best network technologies and services available in the market. Example product areas include broadband access for high-speed connectivity, Radio Access for mobile networks, and various Software and Hardware elements defining the core network.
Your Tasks
As Vice President “Fixed & Transport Networks”, your perimeter will cover three essential sourcing categories: Fixed Access, Optical Transport, and Microwave. You will mainly exchange with technology and innovation teams as well as decision-makers in procurement. You ensure best-in-class procurement results of your team by elaborating and implementing procurement strategy/tactics and strategic/business negotiations with key global vendors in the ecosystem. You will maintain a close relationship with key stakeholders in each international affiliate of Deutsche Telekom and Orange, as well as corporate structures focused on understanding and supporting local strategies.
Activities
As VP Fixed & Transport Networks (m/f/d), you ensure best-in-class procurement results by:
- Developing and implementing sourcing and supplier strategy for the category, taking into account future markets, avoidance of risks, and maximization of opportunities to achieve the Category targets.
- Managing your Category team and worldwide procurement activities while enhancing scale between DT and Orange Groups and partners across the globe.
- Ensuring close collaboration with senior procurement and technology stakeholders and driving demand visibility/spend management.
- Negotiating high-value contracts and annual price books.
- Driving sustainability, circular economy, maintenance negotiations, industrial supplier strategies, and digitization.
- Managing relationships with today’s major suppliers and developing future suppliers.
Your Profile
You hold a University degree or an MBA in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a qualification of the same level. You also possess the following skills and experience:
- Several years of management experience in Strategic Sourcing.
- Professional experience of 10+ years in comparable positions in an international company.
- Very good knowledge of telecommunication technologies.
- Proven track record of strong negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical competency on deal baselining/targets, benchmarking, and tools automation.
- Capacity to work in a multi-cultural and fast-changing complex environment.
- Ability to successfully interact at the executive level.
- Fluency in English as well as in German and/or French, with a willingness to travel.
