(DCB) is the official governing body for cricket in Germany, recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). As we continue building high-performance structures within Olympic disciplines, we are seeking an experienced and visionaryHead National Coach (Cheftrainer)to lead our national performance pathway.

This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about athlete development, performance strategy, and international cricket.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Head National Coach, you will be responsible for the overall performance development of athletes in Germany's national squads, particularly those in thePerspective SquadandYouth Squad,with a strong focus on Olympic formats (T20 Men and T20 Women). The main duties will include:Strategic DevelopmentDesign and implement a national high-performance strategy tailored to Germany's sporting framework.Drive the development of elite and youth-level training concepts and performance structures.Technical & Program LeadershipSupport the setup and management of regional training centres.Develop national training and competition calendars for elite, development, and youth squads.Supervise and mentor discipline-specific coaches, specialist trainers, strength & conditioning staff, and youth coaches.Oversee the national team's preparation and performance at international tournaments including World Cups, Olympic Games, and qualifiers.Define technical concepts and training frameworks in collaboration with the Sports Director and coaching team.Lead world-standard benchmarking and performance analysis to shape training methodology.Coordinate scientific and medical support systems in partnership with Olympic training centres.Squad & Staff ManagementReview and approve squad nominations (Perspective Squad & Youth Squad) in cooperation with discipline coaches (National team coaches men & women) and the Sports Director.Supervise tournament selections for elite and development squads.Lead and coordinate all DCB coaching staff across elite and youth levels.Manage support teams (e.g. physiotherapists, analysts, team managers) where available.Contribute to coach development, education, and long-term staffing plans.Education & GovernanceShape and contribute to DCB's overall high-performance strategy.Support recruitment and retention of national coaching and support staff—including at state level if required.Help develop coach education content aligned with ICC and DOSB requirements.Plan and coordinate staffing for training programs and competitions, in collaboration with the Sports Director.What We're Looking ForExtensive coaching experience as a National Coach in an ICC Associate Member Nation ranked between in the world.
