Master’s Thesis in Molecular Genetics (m/w/d)

The Molecular Genetics of Atherosclerosis and Myocardial Infarction research group at the German Heart Center (Deutsches Herzzentrum München) affiliated with TUM focuses on the identification of genetic risk variants and mutations. The underlying pathomechanisms are clarified using various experimental approaches. These include genome editing, biochemical and cell culture work, transcriptome analyses, and phenotyping of transgenic mouse models.

Major Tasks

• Participation in scientific seminars and exchange with other scientists
• Planning and conducting experiments in the above-mentioned areas

What You Bring

• Master’s student in biology, life sciences or biomedicine
• Previous laboratory experience is an advantage
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
