Your TasksCollaborate with laboratory staff and bioinformatics scientists to gather, analyze, and document software requirementsCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for both existing and new software featuresContribute to the development and maintenance of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) using Java and SQL, from the initial planning phase through to implementationDesign and execute test cases to ensure the interoperability of the LIMS software with laboratory devices, sequencing machines, HPC clusters, and petabyte-scale data storageYour ProfileBachelor's degree in computer science, bioinformatics, biology or equivalent professional experienceFundamental knowledge of Java and a desire to further develop programming skillsBasic understanding of SQL databases and/or HTML/CSSExperience in software testing and/or documentation writingService-oriented and collaborative team playerStrong communication skills in both German (B2) and English, with a willingness for interdisciplinary exchangeDesirable: Knowledge about laboratory workflows and user-interface-design as well as interest in laboratory automation, bioinformatics or genome sequencingAre you a self-motivated, goal-oriented, and diligent team player, with a friendly demeanor?
