Stellenbeschreibung
Vergütung: Remuneration according to TV-L
"Research for a life without cancer" is our mission at the German Cancer Research Center. We investigate how cancer develops, identify cancer risk factors and look for new cancer prevention strategies. We develop new methods with which tumors can be diagnosed more precisely and cancer patients can be treated more successfully. Every contribution counts – whether in research, administration or infrastructure. This is what makes our daily work so meaningful and exciting.
The Division of Artificial Intelligence in Oncology headed by Prof. Dr. Moritz Gerstung at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is looking for a scientific project manager to coordinate a broad range of the laboratory’s activities. The division develops AI applications to enhance our understanding of cancer biology and improve diagnostic tools. The group works closely with internal, national, and international collaborators, including basic researchers and clinicians. In this position, you will assist the division head, manage its scientific operations, and oversee many of the division’s day-to-day activities.
The position is part-time but may be expanded to a full-time post by collaborating with the Division of Regulatory Genomics (Prof. Dr. Duncan Odom), which is one of the division’s key internal collaborations.
