As a worldwide leading provider of marine observatories we believe in our products, our service – but most of all in our employees. Flat hierarchies are not just a buzzword for us, we are all one team and communicate on eye level across all departments. And our philosophy states that the wellbeing of our colleagues increases productivity and entices them to
stay on board. And exactly that is our aim: A great crew that actively participates in developing unique technology.

Your Tasks

As a Technical Project Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for leading our development and customer projects from concept to delivery.

In larger projects, you form a project leadership tandem with the Systems Engineer, combining technical and organizational ownership. You act as the key contact for both customers and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest technical standard.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning, managing, and executing complex technical projects
  • Coordinating interdisciplinary engineering teams (hardware, software, mechanics, acoustics)
  • Aligning requirements, milestones, and deliverables with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments
  • Working closely with the Systems Engineer on technical architecture and system-level decisions
  • Monitoring progress, quality, and technical risks
  • Leading technical and project reviews, design meetings, and status updates
  • Supporting proposal preparation, cost estimation, and project documentation
  • Presenting technical solutions and project results to customers, partners and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement within R&D and project management

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Physics, or similar
  • Several years of experience in technical project management – ideally in embedded systems, communication-, or marine-technology
  • Solid understanding of system architectures and development processes
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technical tasks
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-driven working style
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Enjoyment in taking ownership and driving projects forward
  • As this position involves work on naval projects subject to specific security requirements, German citizenship is a mandatory requirement. Dual citizenship that includes German citizenship is fully acceptable.
