Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking for Senior Accountants to manage financial reporting and cost control in the construction industry.

What will you be doing?

• Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and ensure smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing payments, manage invoicing, and ensure timely collections and payments to maintain cash flow.
• Monitor project expenses, analyze financial data, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to German tax regulations, prepare financial statements, and support audits to maintain compliance.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and utilize accounting software to streamline processes and reporting.

What are the minimum requirements?

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or a project-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of HGB and German tax regulations (UStG, EStG).
• Fluency in German (C1/C2) and English (B2/C1).
• Proficiency with accounting software (SAP, DATEV, Tagetik, or similar).
• Experience in project cost tracking, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
