Our client is seeking a Trade Support Specialist within the Loan Trading Documentation team. The primary responsibility of the Trade Support Specialist is to review, coordinate, and settle third-party assignments. The position requires managing a heavy trade portfolio across various lines of business, while maintaining a clean aging profile and ensuring efficient settlement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with front office, clients, counsel, and operations to settle third-party assignments.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and counterparts.
- Manage a large trade portfolio across multiple lines of business.
- Review legal documents, including legal agreements and assignability language within credit agreements.
- Identify and elevate issues to appropriate parties such as the front office, legal counsel, and management.
- Prepare and maintain daily and weekly MIS reports to monitor the status of open items and measure risk.
Required Qualifications
- Strong time management skills and the ability to organize workloads efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to asking questions and learning.
- Good numerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Bachelor's degree required; high school diploma acceptable with significant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing legal and legal-related documents.
- Ability to manage and coordinate complex trade assignments.
- Experience working with legal agreements, particularly credit agreements.
- Ability to identify issues and elevate appropriately.
- Experience with financial institutions or internships in related fields.
