What to expect?

Your tasks

• As a Staff Engineer (all genders), you see yourself as an enabler for our teams and projects and ensure robust architectures
• You design and evaluate architectures for critical and complex e-commerce, PIM, and CMS projects—especially in the early stages of conception and pitching—and translate business requirements into robust technical concepts
• Together with the team leads, the chapter lead, and the other staff engineers, you define the chapter’s technical vision, establish standards, and set technology priorities
• You will develop core platform building blocks, reusable components, and interfaces that are used across projects
• You will drive modern DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, container environments, Infrastructure as Code) and promote the use of AI-assisted development within the team
• For critical projects, you serve as the technical point of escalation and support team leads and developers with architecture and technology decisions
• You share your knowledge through training sessions, pair programming, code reviews, and technical enablement initiatives

How to contribute?

Your experience

• Several years of experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer on complex web or platform projects
• In-depth knowledge of PHP and Symfony, complemented by a full-stack mindset (e.g., Node.js, TypeScript, React)
• Experience building and operating platforms, ideally using DevOps tools and methods (e.g., CI/CD, container orchestration, IaC)
• Practical experience with or a strong interest in AI-powered development and agent-based workflows
• Enjoyment of providing technical support to team leads and project teams and acting as a technical sparring partner
• Excellent written and spoken English and good written and spoken German, so you can communicate confidently with German-speaking clients and stakeholders
• Ideally, you already have experience with Pimcore or working at a digital agency
