About the Role

As an executive at the DHL Hub Leipzig, you will be part of a dynamic, international team at Leipzig/Halle Airport, ensuring international express shipments reach over 220 countries swiftly. You will advise and direct DHL Express Customs Germany to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Management: Oversee Customs Compliance teams, advise senior management on risks, and ensure roles are properly assigned.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Lead discussions with Customs Authorities, maintain understanding of regulatory changes, and lead the Customs Compliance Board in Germany.
3. Risk Management: Advise on risks, implement mitigation measures, and manage customs licenses.
4. Compliance Framework: Deploy DHL\’s global compliance standards, conduct internal audits, and ensure adherence.
5. Training and Development: Develop training frameworks and lead compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Master\’s degree with extensive experience in Customs and trade legislation
• Proven success in developing compliance frameworks in multinational companies
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication in English and German
• Understanding of logistics and express business
• Strong relationships with government and regulatory bodies
