Role Purpose

Be responsible for leading the DCS customer data strategy and analytics initiatives globally.

Maximize the value of customer data to drive informed business decisions, enhance customer experiences, and support DCS functional goals.

We are looking for a Head of Global Data Insights & Analytics based in Bonn, Germany, or Singapore.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive global customer data strategy aligned with business objectives.
2. Lead and manage teams responsible for data analysis, insights generation, and reporting.
3. Collaborate with senior leadership to define data-driven goals and KPIs.
4. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data analytics support business initiatives and objectives.
5. Champion the use of advanced analytics, data modeling, and BI tools to unlock insights from customer data.
6. Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and ethical data usage protocols.
7. Monitor industry trends in data analytics and apply relevant innovations to enhance capabilities.

Management Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage teams, foster a positive work environment, and ensure effective communication across departments, including mentoring and talent development.
2. Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and ensure departmental operations stay within financial means, analyzing financial reports for data-driven decisions.
3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, understanding their needs and ensuring organizational expectations are met or exceeded.

Do you have what it takes?

Advanced university degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Quantitative Business Administration, or equivalent experience and education.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Data Management Association certification) are beneficial.

Over 10 years of experience in client-facing data analysis roles, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position, with extensive knowledge of data strategy, analytics methodologies, and tools, including advanced analytics and BI frameworks.

Experience in large, high-volume organizations, including physical shipment of goods and digital touchpoints.

Global experience collaborating across diverse teams, with a proven track record of successful data-driven initiatives, building AI technologies, data systems, and analytics at scale.

Experience with data and analytics departments that deliver strategic insights and improve customer experiences aligned with organizational goals.

Proven success in implementing data integrations and analytics solutions to enhance business performance and customer engagement.
