Purpose of the Role

The IBP Manager leads and drives a collaborative monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Responsibilities include managing weekly and monthly S&OP and S&OE meetings to align plans with Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The role manages overlays to baseline volume caused by product launches, promotions, price changes, and other commercial activities. The IBP Manager owns the Demand Planning segment of the S&OP process for their market and is responsible for forecast accuracy to meet targets.

Accountabilities

  • Facilitate the S&OP process in the Market:
  • Lead the creation, alignment, and consensus of an 18-month rolling demand plan at SKU/depot level, supporting weekly and monthly cycles.
  • Lead Demand Review sessions with Marketing, Supply, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Facilitate Demand Control meetings for quick decision-making.
  • Ensure quality inputs are provided for the S&OP process.
  • Challenge growth assumptions based on historical data where necessary.
  • Collaborate with COE Demand Planners, Innovation, and Commercial teams on volume assumptions, shipment timings, and cannibalization for new products.
  • Drive demand-supply integration and alignment to one plan.
  • Work closely with Finance to translate volume into value.

Generate an 18-month Consensus Demand Plan:

  • Analyze and manage volume assumptions considering internal and external factors.
  • Communicate forecast changes and supply constraints to relevant teams and partners.
  • Collaborate on root cause analysis of forecast errors and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan for significant market events (e.g., duty changes, customer activities, economic shifts).

Skills, Capabilities, and Experience Required

  • Proficiency in German at a professional level.
  • Extensive experience in Supply Chain planning, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Material Planning, with S&OP management.
  • Strong knowledge of the S&OP process.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to challenge senior team members and manage tensions in S&OP discussions.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations within Diageo, including inventory, logistics, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power BI, BW) and SAP APO.
  • Cross-functional experience in Commercial, Finance, or Supply functions is preferable.
