Overview
In this role you ensure safe, reliable operation of mission-critical data center infrastructure in Zurich. You own maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring regulatory and internal standards are met, while coordinating with subcontractors and on-call support to minimize downtime. You will drive energy efficiency, document compliance, and support continuous improvement across cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role with exposure to audits, safety permits, and incident response within a globally focused data center environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Maintain and repair electrotechnical and mechanical systems to high safety and reliability standards
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors; manage maintenance tasks and external service providers
- Conduct routine inspections; manage incident responses and on-call duties
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, procedures, and regulatory requirements; support safety audits and permits
- Contribute to site performance and continuous improvement through documentation and cross-functional collaboration
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and proactive process improvements
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance records
- Foster cross-team relationships (customer service, security, vendors) and support smooth handovers
- Engage in shift coverage and structured rotation to ensure continuous site operation
- Participate in skill-building for electrical safety and compliance
- Provide input to procedures and safety practices; contribute to safety culture
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Technical background in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics or related engineering field
- Preferably Swiss EFZ diploma or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Willingness to work in shifts including night shifts
- 2–3 years of experience in mission-critical operations and maintenance of large-scale systems (data center experience is a plus)
- Strong English communication (B2+) and German advantageous
- Proactive, customer-focused problem solver with teamwork mindset
- Proficient in troubleshooting, test/measurement equipment, and infrastructure surveillance
- Experience with maintenance management and coordinating external service providers
- Understanding of BMS, SLAs, and energy optimization practices
