Be you. /b /ppIn the role as Data Scientist in our team Cyberdyne, you design, build and run the ML workflows behind our product data. If you have ever searched, filtered or compared a product on digitec or galaxus, several of our models helped assemble the data you were looking at. We build in Python on BigQuery and other GCP services, and we own our models from the first notebook to production. /ph3Your responsibilities /h3ulliDesigning, building and running ML workflows to build and improve our product catalog /liliBuilding evaluation sets and validation logic that catch quality problems before customers do /liliYou stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends (e.g. latest LLM developments) to continuously enhance our solution /liliImproving the tooling our team relies on, so the next workflow is quicker to build than the last /li /ulh3Your skills /h3ulliSeveral years of professional experience in data science or machine learning, with a higher education degree in a data-focused field (ETH/UNI/FH) /liliStrong Python, plus SQL you are comfortable writing against large tables /liliHands-on experience with an orchestrator such as Airflow or Dagster /liliPractical experience running ML Models over large datasets, including prompt design, cost control and validation of the results /liliExperience with BigQuery or a comparable cloud data warehouse, ideally on GCP /liliFluent English; German is a plus. /liliA willingness to challenge «how things have always been done» and propose more efficient, automated or effective solutions /liliUsing creativity and initiative to solve problems and achieve goals /liliThe capacity to adapt to ongoing changes in the work environment /li /ulh3Why start with us? /h3ullibValues, not empty words: /bCooperative, innovative, piratesque, responsible, ambitious – these five values are what we practise and preach. /lilibCourageous thinking: /bWe encourage everyone to think on their feet, and love it when they come up with bold or edgy ideas. /lilibUncomplicated approach /b: Simplicity is at our core.
