Engineering Team Lead - React Native - 90-100K EUR

On behalf of our client, one of the only businesses in Germany offering a digital platform (web & mobile) to help patients recover through a rehab program that supports their return to full health.

At the moment, we are looking for an exceptional performer to lead a team and use their experience and skills in React Native. Ideally, someone who will take ownership and responsibility for coaching others and developing the mobile application for the users.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• You’ll lead a team of (6) engineers, promoting a strong team ethos and collaborative environment, whilst contributing to the codebase yourself. We expect a 60% Leadership and 40% Coding split.
• From day one, you’ll shape the strategic direction of the company’s apps and steer the continuous development of the products.
• You’ll guide and support your team, focusing on building user-friendly frontend and mobile apps.
• You’ll use your technical expertise to refine, improve and develop workflows, ensuring quality and consistency in work.
• You’ll work in close partnership within a cross-functional team, including the design, R&D, and customer success operations, to create innovative solutions.
• You’ll mentor team members and help develop an environment based on learning, knowledge exchange, and ongoing improvement across all work-based tasks.
• You’ll play a key role in adopting cutting-edge techniques and implementing mobile best practices.

You will have a significant impact on the business by tackling challenging problems, taking on responsibility for others and working for a common purpose. You will be a valued member of the team who is directly able to steer the future direction of the company's app.

The basic requirements are as follows:

• Significant experience with React Native
• Experience with leading and mentoring teams in this specialism. Having led a minimum of 4+ engineers previously
• Multiple years of experience in mobile and/or web/frontend development, with an interest in sharing knowledge with others
• Expertise in JS frameworks such as React and Angular
• Being able to set an example to others, keep up to date with new tech and implement best practices across your skillset

• Permanent employment basis, fully remote within Germany or hybrid working with an office in Berlin
• Salary range – 90,000-100,000 EUR (depending on experience and skills) plus other added benefits including flexible working hours, individual annual training budget and a safe, friendly working environment and culture.
