As an Analytics Engineer your role will be to design and optimize data models that empower our clients to make data-driven decisions. You will be expected to transform, structure, and maintain data for efficient analysis and reporting.

Tasks

1. Maintain in-depth knowledge of data modeling and transformation best practices articulating optimal approaches to the team.
2. Develop and optimize data models using dbt, Dataform, and SQL to enable efficient analysis and reporting.
3. Automate and streamline data transformation processes to ensure scalability and maintainability.
4. Translate client needs and objectives into well-structured data models and reporting strategies effectively communicating insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

1. Experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer with a strong focus on data modeling and transformation.
2. Strong SQL knowledge and experience with data warehousing solutions (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
3. Experience working with GA4 data exports to BigQuery and structuring event-based data for analysis.
4. Familiarity with dbt, Dataform, or similar transformation frameworks.
5. Understanding of relational and non-relational datasets and their use in analytics.
6. Experience automating and optimizing data transformation processes.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex data for reporting and insights.
8. Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting data models and reporting structures with a focus on performance and scalability.
9. Ability to advise clients on best practices for data modeling, transformation, and analytics strategies.
