Electrical Engineer / Software Developer for Data Model Conversion (f/m/d)

DigSILENT GmbH is an independent software and consulting company in the field of electrical power supply, serving transmission, distribution, generation, and industrial networks as well as renewable energy systems.

We assist energy providers and grid operators in tackling the challenges posed by digitalization in the energy sector and the integration of renewable energy sources. Our products PowerFactory, StationWare, and Monitoring Systems are utilized worldwide in over 170 countries.

Your Tasks:

• Developing data model interfaces for our core product PowerFactory.
• Developing new data model converters
• Maintenance and optimisation of existing data model interfaces (e.g. CGMES)
• Responsibility for related data exchange in PowerFactory
• Full involvement in the development chain, i.e. research, design, specification, implementation, testing and maintenance
• Representation of DIgSILENT in relevant working and user groups and interoperability tests

Your Profile:

• Successful completion of a Bachelor\’s/Master\’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in C/C++ development or other object oriented programming languages
• Experience in modelling electrical equipment for power system applications
• Good communication skills
• Well organised and highly analytical
• Good German and English language skills
