A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking an Executive Director to lead market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, forecasting, and brand strategy initiatives for their rare disease franchise.About the RoleYou'll partner with global brand teams to inform strategy, shape competitive positioning, and drive market insights across the organization. As well as leading an experienced team to drive long term strategy for the franchise. ResponsibilitiesMonitor competitive activities (clinical trials, data releases, conference intelligence) and share with leadershipGenerate market research that informs brand strategy and long-term financial planningShape competitive positioning strategies aligned with Global Brand LeadersCommunicate competitive insights clearly and timely to leadership and regional teamsEngage with Global Brand Teams to align on business questions and market intelligence prioritiesDrive competitive monitoring at global scientific meetingsBuild relationships with key customers and demonstrate disease area/market expertiseManage and strategically allocate annual budgetsContribute to long-range revenue forecastsDemonstrate innovative thinking and creative problem-solvingQualificationsBachelor's degree (business or related field)10+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology commercial experience (or 8 years with Master's; 6 years with PhD)Minimum 5+ years in leadership roles in global marketing, market research, and/or competitive intelligenceKnowledge of Global regulatory landscapeRequired SkillsDemonstrate innovative thinking and creative problem-solvingStrong track record influencing key stakeholders and leadershipExcellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsExperience in rapid-growth, fast-paced environmentsAbility to travel occasionally (overnight stays as needed)Strong interpersonal skills for remote/hybrid collaborationRare Disease Experience Preferred SkillsMBA or advanced degreeOncology and/or rare disease experienceBusiness development and commercial partnership management experienceBrand planning and launch/tactical planning experience
