Lease Accounting & Administration Expert (m/w/d) in Berlin

As we expand our capabilities around Lease Administration and IFRS 16 Lease Accounting, we are looking for an experienced Lease Accounting & Administration Expert (m/w/d) who understands both the accounting requirements and the technology behind enterprise lease management.

You may currently be working with solutions such as IBM TRIRIGA, Nakisa, Planon, SAP RE-FX / SAP CLM, CoStar, Lucanet, IFRS16.easy or comparable enterprise lease accounting platforms.

We are less interested in which specific system you come from than in your understanding of lease accounting, enterprise lease processes and how technology supports them.

Your Role

As a Lease Accounting & Administration Expert (m/w/d) , you will work with large international organizations on the transformation of their lease administration and accounting environments.

Your responsibilities include:

• Advising clients on IFRS 16 lease accounting processes, requirements and system landscapes.
• Analyzing existing lease administration and accounting processes and identifying opportunities for standardization, automation and digitalization.
• Supporting the implementation, migration and optimization of enterprise lease accounting solutions.
• Translating accounting and business requirements into functional system requirements.
• Supporting the configuration and design of lease accounting processes, including:
  • lease classification and recognition
  • right-of-use assets and lease liabilities
  • payment schedules and indexation
  • contract modifications
  • renewals and terminations
  • valuation and remeasurement
  • month-end and year-end closing
• Supporting data migration and reconciliation between legacy lease systems, ERP environments and modern lease management platforms.
• Working with interfaces between lease management solutions and SAP / ERP / financial accounting systems.
• Supporting clients during monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Working with finance, accounting, corporate real estate, IT and external auditors.
• Helping shape the next generation of automated and AI-supported Lease Administration and Lease Accounting services at Ditenso.
• Sharing your expertise internally and helping us further develop our IFRS 16 consulting and implementation capabilities

Your Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates with practical experience in IFRS 16 and enterprise lease accounting technology.

Ideally, you bring:

• Several years of experience in Lease Accounting, IFRS 16 consulting, Corporate Real Estate or financial systems implementation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 16 accounting principles and lease lifecycle processes.
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise lease management or lease accounting solution, such as:

Or another comparable platform

• Experience with system implementations, migrations, integrations or transformation projects.
• A good understanding of the interaction between lease management systems, ERP systems and financial accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex accounting and system processes.

Your Skills & Profile

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German (written and spoken).
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to data management and financial reporting.
• Strong self-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A solution-oriented mindset, comfortable with navigating complex lease administration and space planning challenges.You can communicate effectively with both Finance / Accounting teams and IT / system specialists.
• You enjoy understanding complex processes and translating them into practical solutions.
• You are comfortable challenging existing processes instead of simply maintaining them.
• You work independently and take ownership of your projects.
• You are interested in how automation and AI can fundamentally improve lease administration and accounting.
• You communicate confidently in English; German is an advantage but not mandatory.
