CFD Application Engineer

Your Mission

As one of Dive CAE’s first team members in India, you will work directly with engineers solving complex CFD, heat transfer, thermal management, and multiphase flow challenges using a new generation of cloud-native simulation technology.
You’ll combine deep technical application work with direct customer interaction: understanding real engineering problems, building and validating simulation workflows, guiding customers on best practices, and helping them get meaningful results from Dive.
You will also play an important role in building our presence in India, bringing customer and industry insights back to our product and engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with technical discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept projects
• Work directly with customers on industrial CFD and fluid mechanics problems, including fluid flow, heat transfer, thermal management, and multiphase applications
• Develop, validate, and troubleshoot CFD simulation workflows for customer use cases
• Guide engineers through onboarding, training, and adoption of Dive in their development workflows
• Advise customers on modelling approaches and extract engineering insights from simulations
• Investigate technical issues and help customers improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of their simulations
• Create application studies, benchmark cases, tutorials, webinars, and technical training materials
• Translate customer and industry requirements into actionable feedback for our product and engineering teams

Your Qualifications

• Master's or PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Computational Engineering, or a related technical field
• 4+ years of hands-on industrial experience in CFD, fluid mechanics, thermal simulation, or CFD application engineering
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer, with the ability to reason from first principles rather than relying only on established tool workflows
• Hands-on experience building and analysing simulations with tools such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or comparable CFD platforms
• Experience applying CFD to real engineering or industrial problems, either at an OEM, engineering company, deep-tech startup, or simulation software provider
• Experience with multiphase flows, conjugate heat transfer, or multiphysics simulation
• Comfortable working directly with customers or engineering stakeholders and explaining complex simulation topics clearly
• Professional fluency in English

Nice to have

• Experience in application engineering, technical consulting, technical support, or sales engineering
• Python scripting, numerical methods, automation, or AI-assisted engineering workflows
• Experience supporting customers in India or across APAC
