Position: Python Developer
Employment Type: Contract 20 hours/week
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with a strong background in API integration, database management, and backend application development using Python frameworks such as FastAPI. The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems while working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
API Development & Integration:
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Integrate third-party APIs, ensuring smooth data exchange and system interoperability.
Debug and optimize existing API integrations for performance and scalability.
Backend Application Development:
Build backend services and microservices using Python to support web and mobile applications.
Implement clean, scalable, and reusable code with a focus on performance and security.
Collaborate with front-end developers to define and implement seamless API connections.
Database Management:
Design and manage relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity and consistency.
Implement database migrations, schema designs, and backup strategies.
Testing & Deployment:
Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests for backend components.
Deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
Documentation & Collaboration:
Create comprehensive technical documentation for APIs and backend systems.
