What you can expect
- You independently and holistically lead national and international M&A projects – from origination through to closing.
- You autonomously manage the entire transaction process and are responsible for coordinating internal and external resources.
- You act as the central point of contact for executive management and relevant committees with regard to the transaction you oversee.
- You proactively collaborate with the operational managers involved in the M&A process and maintain active relationship management with owners of target companies as well as advisors.
- You comprehensively and independently organise, coordinate and execute due diligence processes.
- You prepare and validate business plans and financial models, conduct company valuations and analyse the impact of transactions on selected group KPIs.
- You take responsibility for negotiating all relevant transaction documents, efficiently lead the negotiation team and, together with the operational lead, assume the role of lead negotiator.
- You support the further development of the M&A strategy, the build‑up and development of the deal pipeline, and the evaluation of M&A projects.
What makes you stand out
- You have successfully completed a university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field and bring at least 5–10 years of solid professional experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Development, Investment Banking or Transaction Services.
- You have very strong expertise in company valuation, financial modelling, due diligence processes and common valuation methods such as DCF or multiples.
- You have extensive experience in managing full M&A processes from identification through analysis, valuation and negotiation to closing.
- You bring strong analytical and conceptual skills for preparing business cases, decision papers and market analyses.
- You work in a structured, independent and precise manner, particularly in complex, multinational projects, and are confident in handling data, KPIs and reporting structures.
- You demonstrate a high level of competence in internal and external stakeholder management, including the coordination of cross‑functional teams, collaboration with advisors, and ideally experience in post‑merger management or working with PMI teams.
- You are characterised by a strong hands‑on mentality, high level of commitment, willingness to take responsibility in projects, excellent communication skills at all levels, and very good written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
