Data Migration Specialist (m/f/d)

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • You plan and execute data migration projects and analyze existing data structures and sources.
  • The development and implementation of data migration strategies and processes is an integral part of your tasks.
  • Using ETL tools, you extract, transform and load data from various source systems into the target systems.
  • During the entire migration process, you ensure data integrity, quality and consistency.
  • In close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, you develop solutions to identify requirements and solve challenges.
  • Careful documentation of the migration processes and results is part of your job.
  • You carry out tests and quality assurance measures to validate the migrated data.

Your Profile

  • Degree in computer science, medical informatics or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in data migration projects, particularly in a clinical environment or medical systems, e.g. Orbis, Orbis RIS, Millenium, ID Diacos.
  • Sound knowledge of database technologies and SQL – ideally experience with ETL tools such as SSIS.
  • Knowledge of data quality management and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills, also when dealing with non-technical stakeholders.
