The Role This is a newly created, foundational, highly hands-on role for a true doer who builds capabilities from the ground up by actively driving, testing, and implementing solutions across the lab bench, the pilot plant, and operational systems.
The role drives the formulation and development of cutting-edge cocoa, coffee, and nut alternative powders.
Its objective is to engineer purpose-built solutions that deliver exceptional workability for B2B customers and an outstanding sensory experience for consumers.
It owns the end-to-end processing technology, from raw material selection and preparation through to the finished product, optimizing every step to unlock the desired sensory profile.
Close collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Applications is essential to success.
The role addresses complex product matrix interactions and transforms formulation challenges into robust technical solutions.
Its expertise ensures that specialized powders achieve a perfectly smooth mouthfeel and flawless functionality in final applications.
Acting as a technical intrapreneur, the role brings a startup mindset into a scalable corporate environment.
It navigates early-stage technical challenges with resilience and agility, ensuring innovative products transition seamlessly from pilot scale to robust global commercial production.
The Profile A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
Profound technical understanding of plant-based raw materials and how they behave during processing.
Hands-on expertise in key processing technologies, specifically focusing on flavor and texture development during drying, roasting, and particle size reduction.
A highly resilient, problem-solving mindset.

Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
