This position is located in one of our larger plants in Germany, ideally in our Plant Dahlenburg (Hamburg area).

Your Role

1. Development and implementation of a global sourcing strategy for frozen (IQF) & freeze-dried fruits
2. Observation of the raw material market versus internal demands with the aim of determining the right buying strategy
3. Analysis and evaluation of current and potential suppliers, considering internal requirements for performance, quality, and cost
4. Independently conducting supplier meetings, negotiating, and concluding purchasing contracts
5. Handling the complete source-to-contract process to ensure material availability according to the plant’s requirements

Your Profile

1. You have a successfully completed studies in economics or food technology or comparable training with relevant work experience
2. You have at least five years of professional experience in a similar global role, ideally in the frozen food industry
3. You have a proven track record in international sourcing negotiations
4. You are a team player with strong negotiation skills, a determined and convincing personality, and strong analytical skills
5. You can fluently negotiate in English and have a good understanding of German. Additional languages are an advantage
6. You have a good understanding of SAP (SAP R/3 or S/4HANA) and MS Office
7. Occasional business travel is required (up to 20%)
