What to Expect
- Supplier Management – intensively exchanging all relevant product / market related information.
- Product profit and loss management.
- Cost Chain optimization by product, origin and port of arrival.
- Procurement forecasting by SKU in collaboration with Sales (Actual vs. Estimate vs. Budget).
- Customer needs anticipation and development of sales strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
- Preseason preparation by supplier, product and season (Business Info, Master data, Fruits Specs, Logistics, Packaging, etc.) in collaboration with respective departments.
- Retail program control and management in close collaboration with Sales.
- Monitoring of stock levels, MRL’s specs and fruit specs in the respective ports, ensuring timely sales and optimal returns for Dole and production.
- Local sourcing when needed.
- Collection and provision of relevant market information (prices, volumes, trends) and sharing with Sales Force.
- Claim Management – settlement of claims of goods according to Dole claim procedure, ongoing and accurately reported back to production.
- Continuous monitoring of AP’s (Advances, Final Payments, Pre-season loans) according to agreed term of payment in collaboration with Product Service.
- Timely liquidation with suppliers and tracking of revenues, margins and costs by supplier.
Required Skills
- University degree in Business Administration or comparable education with a focus on PM.
- At least 3‑5 years of progressively responsible experience in PM, preferably in perishable products.
- Good understanding of business, financials, product/services, market and needs.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and external actors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to multi‑task, time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team as required.
- Engaged, strong willingness and ability to work under strict deadlines and pressure.
- Preferably fluent English in communication and writing; knowledge of a further language appreciated.
- Excellent knowledge of standard Windows and MS Office applications.
