Product Developer WSE (m/f/d)

WAECO has been a recognized market leader in this field for over 50 years and works closely with workshop customers and the automotive industry.

To support our team at WAECO Germany WSE GmbH at our location in 48282 Emsdetten, we are therefore looking for a Product Developer WSE (m/f/d).

Your main responsibilities

•(Further) development of electronics and software for air conditioning service units

•Programming of microcontrollers (preferably ARM Cortex-M family), including development and optimization of graphical user interfaces

•Creation of circuit diagrams and layouts for printed circuit boards (PCBs)

•Integration and maintenance of embedded software solutions

•Technical coordination with international suppliers and partners regarding electronic assemblies, displays, and peripheral devices

•Supporting EMC certification and safety approvals, including preparation of test documentation and communication with testing institutes

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:

• Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or similar, or technical training

• Experience in product development (ideally in the field of technical capital goods or automotive workshop equipment)

•Technical understanding of refrigeration, air conditioning, or automotive technology is an advantage

•Knowledge of embedded system development (especially with ARM architecture microcontrollers)

•Experience with circuit board design and ECAD software

•Programming skills in C/C++ for microcontrollers and basic knowledge of object-oriented software development

•Experience with graphical display solutions is an advantage

•Knowledge of EMC-compliant design, test setup, implementation, and error analysis

•Knowledge of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

•Hands-on mentality

•Knowledge of German and English
