Your Tasks

Design and calculation of boiler and system components according to PED, in particular EN 12952, also EN 13480, EN 13445, ASME
Application and use of standard calculation tools, in particular PROBAD and Rohr 2
Creation and use of calculation tools based on Excel and VBA
Developing creative solutions for complex design challenges
Ensuring that the calculation verifications are adapted to the order process on schedule
Working closely with other departments to optimise design and production processes
Coordinating the calculation points with the NOBO preliminary inspection centre, the customer and the ZÜS

Your Profile

Degree in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification (university, TU, university of applied sciences)
At least 5 years of professional experience in design and/or calculation in boiler or plant construction or in a comparable field of activity
Extensive experience with design and verification in accordance with PED, in particular EN 12952
Experience with design and verification in accordance with EN 13480, EN 13445, ASME
Sound knowledge of common calculation tools and programmes, in particular PROBAD and Rohr 2
Sound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
Knowledge of VBA and/or an alternative programming language
Creativity and willingness to find innovative solutions for difficult design problems and to prove them mathematically
Good written and spoken English skills
