Consultant Strategy & M&A (w/m/d)

We are on the lookout for a passionate and results-oriented Consultant – Strategy & M&A to join our global Strategy team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work on impactful projects, develop winning strategies across markets and portfolios, and support mergers and acquisitions that transform industry landscapes.

A job that matters: your task

• Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market research that influences critical business decisions across the organization; track and address market trends and competitive actions; prepare advanced analyses to provide actionable insights , making recommendations to senior management to maintain our competitive edge.
• Strategy, Strategic Planning & Projects: Collaborate on impactful strategy projects across markets and portfolios, analyzing and assessing markets/industries and business portfolios, regional or global verticals and product clusters; define strategic recommendations on portfolio optimization, Go-To-Market approaches, efficiency improvements, and complexity reduction, in close collaboration with global functions & markets.
• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Be at the forefront of exciting M&A activities, identifying opportunities, developing and/or evaluating business plans that align with our strategic goals; propose strategic portfolio adjustments to maximize value; coordinate and manage portfolio projects and M&A transactions, in close cooperation with relevant markets and functions.
• Develop trustful relations and collaboration with our functions and markets, driving interactions & dialogue and offering proactive support.
• Collaborate effectively with external advisors and consultants.
• Support key processes and stakeholders, e.g. Mid-Term Planning, Communication and Investor Relations on strategic elements.
• Be a sparring partner for relevant functions, act as a challenger and supporter, driving excellence in project analyses and execution as well as presentation & communication.

An experience that matters: your skills

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering; potentially PhD or MBA in Finance.
• One to three years in (Strategy) Consulting and/or Corporate Strategy; alternatively, one to three years as M&A Analyst in M&A advisory or corporate M&A department.
• Fluency in English; German is nice to have.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership & collaboration skills coupled with strong value orientation (e.g. courage, curiosity, trust).
• Flexibility to travel for business purposes (around 20% of the time).
