Overview
In this role you own the Configurable Materials Master Data domain and SAP VC landscape, shaping the data roadmap and serving as Business Owner for SAP MDG-M and LO-VC/AVC. You drive VC modeling, BoM mastership, and data governance across R&D, manufacturing, procurement, and finance in a global context. You will lead cross-functional programs to enable product innovation, digital thread integrity, and intelligent automation. This is a strategic, transformation-driven role with a strong focus on data as a product across S/4HANA, PLM, and MES ecosystems.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Own and evolve SAP VC data model (characteristics, classes, configuration profiles, dependencies, constraints, variant tables)
- Lead migration from LO-VC to AVC and define corresponding roadmap and priorities
- Design and govern super-BoM and variant-BoM structures for manufacturing and procurement
- Define material classification and hierarchy frameworks for VC model scalability
- Own BoM data strategy across PLM, ERP, and MES, including revision control and change propagation
- Architect integration patterns across PLM Windchill, SAP MDG, S/4HANA, PIM/DAM, MES for data consistency
- Connect VC models to pricing and CPQ with real-time, validated data
- Extend materials master data to serialized equipment, service BoMs, and aftermarket records
- Embed sustainability and regulatory data (REACH, RoHS) into VC and BoM for compliance
- Define governance framework for materials data, champion data product thinking, and drive data quality programs
- Lead SAP MDG-M and VC landscape governance within RECITE and onePLM programs
- Apply AI/ML to profiling, rule management, and anomaly detection in materials domain
- Lead materials data community with change-management and training initiatives
- Define operating model for global delivery and mentor the materials data team
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 8–10 years in materials master-data and VC leadership in multinational corporations
- Deep SAP LO-VC expertise with a vision toward AVC (data-model, process, governance)
- Mastery of VC modeling objects and their role in super-BoM/variant-BoM structures
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience owning BoM data strategy across PLM, ERP, MES
- Strong data modelling, architecture, and integration knowledge
- Familiarity with data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, data cataloguing, observability, and data-mesh/fabric
- Proven track record delivering data-quality improvement at scale in global settings
- Experience with Shared Services and global delivery models
- Stakeholder management, English fluency, and pragmatic multi-workstream project management
- Comfort with applying AI/ML to data processes while owning VC/material-master logic
