Ever Commerce is searching for an experienced

Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and continuous operation of our cloud infrastructure.

You’ll be the go-to expert driving innovative, secure, and optimized solutions.

This position can be based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
• Lead the design, deployment and evolution of AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (e. g., Terraform, Cloud Formation).
• Define standards and best practices for availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and security across cloud services.
• Manage and deploy AWS Organization services across the enterprise (e. g., Control Tower, IAM Identity Center, IPAM, etc.).
• Automation & Operations
• Build and maintain automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and remediation using scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and systems issues in high‑availability production environments.
• Security & Access
• Partner with Security teams to implement zero‑trust, WAF, governance, and compliance controls.
• Deploy and operate privileged access management solutions (Teleport) to secure access to critical infrastructure.
• Cost & Reliability
• Implement and continuously improve Fin Ops practices, including usage monitoring, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
• Ensure platforms meet organizational reliability and compliance standards.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Collaborate with engineering, Dev Ops, and security teams to define cloud architecture and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational documentation.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role

• 7+ years of experience designing, operating, and scaling cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in AWS.
• Strong hands‑on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience designing highly available, secure, and disaster‑resilient production systems.
• Proficiency with automation and CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud‑native workloads.
• Solid foundation in networking, IAM, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
• Excellent soft skills including communication, teamwork, building effective relationships and leadership.
• Experience leveraging AI‑assisted tools or intelligent automation to improve cloud operations, observability, or cost optimization.

Nice to haves

• Experience with containers (EKS), serverless architectures, or microservices platforms.
• Familiarity with Fin Ops practices and cloud cost optimization tools.
• Experience operating hybrid or multi‑cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience implementing Teleport PAM.
• Working knowledge of database platforms and data services.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools for infrastructure automation or operational efficiency.

The Ever Commerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.

S., Canada, the U.

K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia.

With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones.

This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in‑office or you can work 100% remotely.

Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation

The target base compensation for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 USD per year (only if an annual bonus/commission/LTIP is included in compensation) and a variable component included in most U.

S./Canadian locations.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
