Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is looking for a Mixologist - Lobby Lounge to join our Food & Beverage Team!
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the Mixologist is responsible for supporting the bar team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The Mixologist reports to the Bar Supervisor and Restaurant Manager.
Responsibilities
Preparing high-quality cocktails and other beverages according to our recipes and standards
Creating new, innovative cocktail ideas and seasonal drinks for the bar and lobby lounge
Advising and assisting guests with drink selection and food pairings
Ensuring smooth bar operations, including preparation and cleanup
Managing inventory, including ordering bar supplies and ingredients
Adhering to all hygiene standards and legal regulations in the bar area
Working closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
Assisting with onboarding and training new team members
Contributing to a hospitable and professional atmosphere
Qualifications
Completed training in upscale hospitality or gastronomy, ideally with 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong leadership skills and organizational talent, combined with the ability to manage a multicultural team
High flexibility and resilience - weekend and holiday shifts are part of the job
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with guests and team members
Confidence and a well-groomed, professional appearance
Passion for exceptional service and a keen sense of trends in the hospitality industry
Excellent knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
