This position reports to: Engineering Manager
Your Role: Own the Challenge As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for the design, engineering, and technical documentation of automation, control, and electrical systems within Energy Industries projects.
Design, engineering, and documentation of PLC and distributed control systems, operator interfaces, as well as low- and medium-voltage installations, protection and excitation systems for power generation, oil & gas, and process industry applications, including the planning and sizing of field instrumentation, mechanical components, and cable systems
Independently review manufacturing and installation activities and contribute to site supervision and commissioning, providing technical consulting to customers and ensuring the correct implementation of systems and plants
Deliver sound technical recommendations throughout all project phases to ensure project execution within agreed schedules and budgets, while complying with applicable quality and safety standards
Provide technical and organizational support to project managers and project leads during technical reviews and in collaboration with customers, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers, demonstrating a customer‑focused mindset, contributing to high customer satisfaction, and showing a willingness to travel (approx. 40%)
What it takes to Run what runs the world
Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or University) with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, or a completed apprenticeship/technical school in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience
Solid general IT skills, particularly in MS Office, AutoCAD, and ECAD systems (e.g. EPLAN P8, COMOS PT), as well as SAP
Strong commitment to safe working practices and strict compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety regulations
High level of self‑motivation, openness to new topics, and a continuous willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
Team‑oriented and solution‑driven working style combined with very good written and verbal communication skills
Very good command of German (C1) and good command of English (B1), both written and spoken
Willingness to travel within Austria (approx. 40%), primarily in project‑based blocks aligned with the project lifecycle

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 60,000 gross per year (May 2025). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
