Tasks Producing analyses and stress reports for all areas of the aircraft, including primary structures, in accordance with the Company and applicable certification standards and procedures.

Working closely with the structures, systems and electrical teams to make timely design decisions and produce appropriate stress calculations to support the design work.

Liaising, managing and providing technical direction to offsite suppliers.

Competence in the analysis of composite structure is required.

Developing departmental tools for stress analysis.

Providing stress support to other areas of the Company, including Production, Flight Testing, Quality Assurance and Airworthiness and ensuring that the technical content, quality, compliance and safety aspects of any technical data is documented in accordance with applicable certification standards and guidelines.

Profile Master degree in aeronautical / mechanical engineering or an adequate education / experience in the aeronautical industry Minimum of 5 years experiences as a Stress Engineer in the aircraft or similar industry In-depth knowledge of stress analysis techniques, including classical hand calculations and finite element analysis, as well as a good knowledge of airworthiness requirements.

Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance techniques and dynamic analysis.

Experience in evaluating design concepts and making design recommendations to alleviate stressing challenges.

Also experiences in analysing composite parts are needed.

Exposure to the design processes across the product lifecycle from concept through to design, production and testing.

Good working knowledge of MSC Nastran/Patran.

Experience in producing comprehensive stress reports Excellent written communication and verbal skills combined with a good level of literacy and numeracy.
