CSA Construction Manager – Schaffhausen, Switzerland
We are seeking an experienced CSA Construction Manager / Superintendent to lead our high‑impact life science and data center projects in the Schaffhausen area. Role Overview
Oversee on‑site delivery of all CSA works while ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture. Manage CSA work sequencing, look‑ahead planning, schedule performance, progress reporting, risks, and corrective actions. Lead sub‑contractor CSA site teams—including supervisors, engineers, package managers, and trade partners across civil, structural, architectural, façade, fit‑out, and building envelope scopes. Ensure implementation of project quality plans through inspections, benchmarking, QA/QC processes, defect management, and compliance with local standards and regulations. Coordinate CSA interfaces with design, procurement, MEP, commissioning, and client teams to ensure constructability, correct sequencing, and timely resolution of issues. Manage building acceptance, handover, and close‑out procedures with local authorities and the client, ensuring all inspections, documentation, QA records, safety files, and punch lists are completed. Role Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a construction‑related field. Alternatively, a technical career through an apprenticeship in construction. Field Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in a similar role on large‑scale construction projects. Technical Skills:
Knowledge of project management software, scheduling software (P6), preferably BIM software (ACC, Navisworks, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with local regulations and industry norms. Language:
Fluency in German and English. Work Style:
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills; strong work ethic and passion for construction; proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to maintain a project overview while managing technical details; effective teamwork, clear communication, and collaboration with all stakeholders.
