Enterprise Risk Manager (m/w/d) in Freiburg

Your tasks

You are responsible for the establishment, further development and management of Enterprise Risk Management across the entire Falk Pharma Group. As the interface between Executive Management und various operational risk functions (risk owners), you develop standard processes and governance, to generate transparency about significant risks and enhance the organization’s resilience through effective business continuity and crisis management. In this position you report directly to the General Manager of Finance & Administration. Your area of responsibility specifically includes the following:

• Establishment of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) across the entire group
• Establishment and structuring of business continuity and crisis management processes
• Consultation and training of risk owners as well as communication of details regarding developments and best practice in ERM
• Quality assurance and validation of risk reports from risk owners
• Monitoring of the entire process as well as risk mitigation measures
• Regular reporting to Executive Management and the Falk Board
• Further development and optimization of the ERM system

Your qualification

• Several years of experience in risk management, auditing and controlling or in a consultancy focusing on risk & governance
• Sound knowledge of established ERM standards (e.g. COSO, ISO 31000)
• Preferably experience in medium-sized corporate structures as well as in international (specifically European) business environments
• Strong expertise in the development and enhancement of standard risk management processes and playbooks, as well as in the application of standard risk or business continuity management tools
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a balanced perspective on risks and opportunities
• Excellent ability to deliver results as well as a pragmatic, solution-oriented work style
• Strong communication and presentation skills in German and English; additional foreign languages beneficial – also in connection with Executive Management and shareholders
• Assertiveness and ability to persuade and influence as well as strong capability to achieve impact across functions and with international affiliates
• Highly motivated to learn, curious about and open to new methods and technologies
• Experience in the pharmaceutical sector as well as knowledge of pharma-specific processes, regulatory framework conditions and specific market requirements is beneficial
