Job in Germany : Unity VR Developer (m / w / d)

Draxon GmbH (founded in November 2024) is looking for a Unity VR Developer to help shape the future of corporate VR training. You will develop scalable VR training modules, integrate AI and set standards.

Tasks

1. Develop innovative VR training modules in Unity (C#), optimized for standalone headsets like Meta Quest or Pico.
2. Develop immersive training scenarios in various environments in which dynamic tasks from real-life situations have to be solved.
3. Iteratively develop user-friendly interactions for VR.
4. Optimize the performance of VR training applications, especially in terms of loading times, frame rate, and memory consumption.
5. Ensure high code quality through continuous testing and debugging, as well as compliance with agreed code conventions.
6. Apply innovative AI technologies where possible to revolutionize AI assistants, test bots, dynamic scenarios, and adaptive difficulty levels.
7. Interact closely with the team (3D generalists, game designers, senior Unity VR developers) and contribute with your expertise to a smooth development process.

Qualification

1. 1-3 years experience in Unity development with C#.
2. Of which at least 1 year in VR and/or gaming (more is a plus).
3. Basic knowledge of AI technologies is a plus, but not a must.
4. First experience with performance optimization for VR.
5. Structured, pragmatic, and team-oriented way of working with strong communication skills, suitable for a dynamic startup.
6. Fluent in German and very good English skills.
7. Long-term view – you want to make a difference, not just tick things off.
