Euro Business Development Manager (M/F/D)
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence sector, is seeking a Euro Business Development Manager to strengthen their presence across Germany and wider European markets. In this permanent role, you will act as the crucial bridge between customers, our client's sales team, and technical teams to design and implement advanced fibre optic solutions, working closely with large defence industry customers and travelling frequently to meet stakeholders face-to-face.
About the Role
This position is a key technical sales and business development role, responsible for driving revenue (circa $3 million) through strategic account management and new business across major Defence and Aerospace customers. You will be the primary fibre optic technical resource, providing expert support throughout the sales cycle and ensuring our client's solutions are perfectly aligned with complex customer needs.
Key Skills & Experience
- Business Development (BD)/BD Manager: Proven ability to identify opportunities, build pipelines and close deals with large, complex organisations.
- Technical Sales: Experience selling technically sophisticated solutions, translating customer needs into engineered offerings.
- Defence & Aerospace Sector Knowledge: Understanding of defence industry dynamics and requirements when working with major defence customers.
- Fibre Optic Solutions: Acting as the primary fibre optic technical resource, capable of supporting solution design and implementation.
- RF/Optics Experience: Background in RF and optical technologies, enabling credible conversations with customer engineering teams.
- Customer & Internal Stakeholder Bridge: Skilled at coordinating between customers, sales and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Frequent Travel: Willingness to travel regularly across Germany and Europe to engage customers on-site.
