Site Head / Managing Director - WaferFab (m,f,d) in Rostock

Overview

You lead a c.500-person wafer fab site within a global semiconductor group, owning end-to-end operations, P&L, and transformation initiatives. You will drive cost competitiveness, delivery performance, and a unified culture across production, engineering, maintenance, R&D, and lab functions. This role offers visibility within the group, with potential exposure to sister factories and a path to broader leadership. You shape the site’s transformation journey and performance at a strategic level, combining technical depth with commercial accountability.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Provide end-to-end site leadership across production, engineering, maintenance, R&D, lab operations, quality and EHS
• Own site P&L, cost base, delivery performance and customer commitments
• Drive the transformation agenda: culture change, modernising manufacturing systems, and operational discipline
• Develop and motivate a ~500-person workforce, fostering a high-performing, unified culture
• Collaborate with global BU leadership and adopt best practices across the factory network
• Manage stakeholders including works councils, local authorities, customers and senior leadership

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Proven leadership of a semiconductor wafer fab or a large-scale, highly technical manufacturing site
• Strong engineering foundation with commercial and P&L accountability
• Track record of operational or cultural transformation
• Natural people leadership to unite and develop a diverse workforce
• Comfort engaging with global executives and shop-floor teams
• Willingness to be based on-site in Hesse, Germany; fluent German
