Head of Finance (80%-100%)

We are looking for a Head of Finance (80%-100%) to take full ownership of our Finance function and join our Management Team. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, you will shape a modern, lean and highly automated Finance setup as we continue to scale internationally. The role combines hands‑on execution with strategic financial leadership — spanning planning, reporting, compliance and cross‑border coordination — with real scope to simplify and future‑proof how Finance operates across the company. Job Requirements Several years of relevant Finance experience in a hands‑on, entrepreneurial environment Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and the Swiss Code of Obligations Experience in SaaS, software or technology , or a strong understanding of SaaS metrics and economics Strong understanding of cash flow, forecasting, financial modelling and cost management Demonstrated experience in improving, automating and simplifying Finance processes Experience working in an international Finance setup, including the coordination of internal and external Finance resources Pragmatic, analytical and comfortable challenging the status quo Comfortable taking end‑to‑end ownership of Finance in a lean organization , combining hands‑on execution with management‑level thinking Fluent English; good German strongly preferred Experience with Abacus and familiarity with systems such as Chargebee, Datatrans or comparable billing, payment and Finance platforms will be a strong advantage. We particularly value candidates who understand how ERP, billing, payments, CRM and reporting systems should work together and can challenge the existing setup rather than simply operate it. Take end‑to‑end ownership of Finance, including planning, forecasting, reporting, accounting, cash flow and liquidity management Job Responsibilities Drive the simplification, automation and digitalization of Finance processes and reduce manual work Review and optimize our Finance operating model, systems, external providers and end‑to‑end processes Actively drive cost transparency and optimization , challenging existing spend, suppliers and structures Further develop meaningful SaaS and business KPIs to support management decisions Ensure efficient monthly and year‑end closing and compliance with Swiss accounting and statutory requirements Own our international Finance setup end‑to‑end, providing functional leadership to our Finance resource in Portugal and managing all relevant internal and external Finance partners, including auditors, tax advisors and fiduciaries As a member of the Management Team , contribute to company‑wide decisions and act as a sparring partner to the CEO and other functional leaders Support reporting and communication towards the Board, shareholders, banks and other key stakeholders What We Offer Management Team position with direct exposure to the CEO and Board , significant freedom to shape our future Finance setup, and the opportunity to build a modern, scalable and highly automated Finance function in a Swiss technology company. 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours and a hybrid work model with a central office in Zurich.
