We are looking for a Cloud Engineer (m/f/x) to join our motivated SRE team in Berlin to help scale and maintain our cloud infrastructure while ensuring the reliability and performance of our geospatial processing platform.

What you will do

  • Build, maintain and scale reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud-native technologies.
  • Contribute to our Ia C practices by managing and deploying cloud resources using Terraform and other modern tools.
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions across our platform using tools like Prometheus.
  • Drive continuous improvements in system resilience by automating repetitive tasks and streamlining operations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to establish, track, and maintain effective SLOs/SLIs.
  • Participate in our office-hours-only on-call rotation to troubleshoot issues and ensure platform stability.

  • Several years of proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Dev Ops roles
  • Practical experience managing infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or comparable experience with AWS/Azure
  • Solid working knowledge of Terraform (you can confidently read, modify, and deploy existing Ia C modules in production)
  • Hands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized workloads in production environments
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts
  • Experience with observability solutions and monitoring systems like Prometheus
  • Driven to make a hands-on impact as an Individual Contributor (IC), bringing a growth mindset, technical empathy, and a collaborative approach to the team
  • Full business fluency in English, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse teams
  • Bonus points if you bring
  • Experience with building Terraform modules
  • Cloud networking knowledge (VPC, subnets, routing...)
  • Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops principles and cloud security best practices
