Overview
You will drive process transfers and industrialization of new strains from development to production, enabling scalable fermentation and bioscience applications. Working within a collaborative Manufacturing Technology team at the Niebüll site, you will push continuous improvement across the manufacturing network and support regional responsibilities. You will tackle process challenges, lead root-cause analyses, and collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure successful knowledge transfer. This role offers meaningful impact through optimizing production performance, efficiency, and compliance within a global bioscience context.

- Manage inter-site process transfers to ensure readiness and smooth implementation
- Industrialize new strains and support scale-up from development to commercial manufacturing
- Drive continuous improvement for production portfolio, process performance, and cost efficiency
- Identify and implement sustainable process improvements at manufacturing scale
- Participate in global Manufacturing Technology networks to align with technology, supply, and business goals
- Lead root cause analysis for process-related issues
- Collaborate with Process R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure project execution and knowledge transfer
- Monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Support capital investment projects with process expertise and data
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's degree or Engineering degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bioprocess engineering in industrial or pilot-scale manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of industrial microbiology, fermentation technologies, and downstream processing operations
- Knowledge of unit operations including fermentation, centrifugation, membrane filtration, cryogenic freezing, and lyophilization
- Proven track record in leading process improvements and managing technical projects
- Understanding of process equipment including pumps, valves, instrumentation, piping systems, and utilities
- Practical knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics in industrial production
- Proficiency in data-driven approaches and digital tools to improve process performance, quality, and cost efficiency
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel regionally to support sites and projects
