Why Join Us | DuPont Careers /p pWe are hiring a bRD and TSD Laboratory specialist /b to join our Automotive Adhesives RD team based bin Freienbach. /b /p h3Primary Duties Responsibilities /h3 ul liAdvancing Adhesive Technologies: This role demands deep expertise in polyurethane and silane chemistry, automotive manufacturing standards, material compatibility, and performance requirements to ensure adhesive products meet precise specifications. It also requires proficiency in adhesive testing methods and equipment, as well as a thorough understanding of OEM and Tier supplier quality standards within the transportation sector. /li liCross-Functional Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration between different functions (such as sales, marketing, production, engineering, and quality assurance) is crucial for the successful development of new products, the improvement of mechanical testing procedures, the marketing of adhesive products, and the handling of customer complaints with troubleshooting. /li liCompliance with Safety Standards: It is essential for this role to ensure that all developed products comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards. This compliance is crucial not only for legal reasons but also for the safety and satisfaction of end-users. /li liSupport Raw Material Double Sourcing Projects: To ensure supply security and cost optimization, it is critical to qualify multiple raw material alternatives. In this role, you will provide technical guidance to Procurement and Product Management, coordinate raw material analyses, and oversee the qualification of new raw material sources for adhesives. /li liSupport Localization Projects: This role will support localization efforts tailored to specific customers particularly. This may cover adapting products to meet local regulatory requirements and market preferences. Provide support for scale-up activities during commercial product launch and oversee manufacturing processes. /li liTechnology Transfer: This role will provide technical support to manufacturing teams to facilitate the seamless transfer of products and processes to new production sites. /li /ul h3Education Experience /h3 ul liBachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related technical field is required. /li liProven experience in polyurethane-based adhesive technologies and a solid understanding of adhesive applications in transportation, particularly within the automotive sector. /li liProficient in English and German; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous. /li liMust possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving capabilities and technical knowledge in service operations. /li liDemonstrate self-motivation and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. /li liEngage actively with production and quality assurance teams to drive improvements. Work closely with the engineering team to enhance mechanical testing processes. /li liExecute practical lab work in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards. /li liFamiliarity with software for statistical analysis and data visualization such as JMP, understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) principles, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). /li liCapable of troubleshooting and resolving technical claims utilizing skills in analytical material characterization. /li liDemonstrated capability to design and implement new testing methodologies to address emerging technical challenges.
