About the Teams
Risk Analytics (Berlin)
The DWS risk analytics team is currently hiring risk interns to support our team in Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Counterparty Risk, Financial Risk and Enterprise Risk.
As our DWS Intern, you will:
– Supports analysis and processes for specific risk type (Counterparty, Financial, Market and Liquidity) and assesses material risks and/or key controls (as required)
– Supports the monitoring of risk exposures or key risk metrics , using the risk type methodologies and supports development of these where appropriate
– Supports decision-making and approvals around risks and preparation of key risk documentation and reports
– Risk data preparation, calculation and analysis for fiduciary market risk and counterparty risk processes
– Preparation of standard and customized risk reports and presentations on DWS portfolios in a timely and high-quality manner
– Support the Risk Management department in global and local projects
We’re looking for:
Master Student (or at least finished bachelor) in the field of economics, quantitative finance or mathematics.
Good knowledge of the financial markets, asset management or risk management are considered an advantage.
Know-how of financial instruments (eg equity, fixed income, financial derivatives)
Experience with software programs (Python, SQL, VBA)
Very good analytical skills and the ability to work independently
Excellent MS Office skills
Very good English language skills
Interest in an international working environment
You are enrolled in your penultimate or last year of study, or on a gap year between your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees
You need to be available for between 6 months. There are flexible intakes available – Spring and Autumn Risk
Management (Frankfurt) As our DWS Intern you will:
– Supporting the Investment Risk Management department with daily risk analytics oversight for globally managed funds
– Perform risk assessment analysis across several asset classes, strategies for the entire fund range
– Review of risk models an in -depth analysis of model parameters and updates
Support the Risk Management department in global and local projects
– Review risk results and risk profiles with Senior Risk Managers and Head of Risk
– Work closely with investment specialists, analysts and risk colleagues from different regions across the globe (Luxembourg, Berlin, London, Hong Kong, New York, etc.)
Gewünschte Qualifikationen
We’re looking for:
Student in the field of economics, quantitative finance, mathematics, or a related subject
