Accounts Payable Specialist in Friedrichsdorf

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Finance & Accounting team in Friedrichsdorf, Germany.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day Accounts Payable activities of our German entity, managing the full transactional AP cycle and helping ensure our financial processes are accurate, timely, and well controlled.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working with detail, and collaborating across an international organization. While Accounts Payable will be your primary focus, there is also the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities over time, including involvement in month-end close and Group Reporting.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of a broad range of Accounts Payable and transactional finance activities, including:

• Managing the AP mailbox, including invoice receipt and account coding
• Processing supplier invoices and resolving GR/IR reconciliation issues
• Preparing and executing supplier payments
• Managing and posting employee travel expense reports
• Completing bank and account reconciliations
• Processing daily and monthly accounting entries, including accruals, prepayments, and recurring entries
• Supporting statutory and statistical reporting, including Intrastat and EC Sales List / ZM
• Completing vendor and intercompany reconciliations
• Maintaining selected finance-related supplier and customer master data
• Reviewing master data changes in accordance with internal approval processes
• Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, and Customer Service.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an Accounts Payable professional who combines strong transactional finance knowledge with accuracy, ownership, and a structured approach to work.

You'll bring:

• A completed commercial qualification or comparable qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Solid professional experience within Accounts Payable
• Experience working with ERP systems such as QAD, SAP, or similar
• A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented approach
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
• Fluent German, together with good written and spoken English.
