UC Solutions Architect in Frankfurt am Main

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Stream Lead Communication to join a large-scale Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) transformation programme within a complex, multi-vendor enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in enterprise communications platforms, integration architecture, and migration activities. You will take ownership of the Communication workstream and play a key role in delivering a business-critical UCC solution.

This is not a pure management position. We are looking for someone who can provide technical leadership while actively contributing to the design, integration, troubleshooting, and delivery of the solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Communication workstream within a large UCC programme.
• Drive the integration of enterprise telephony and communication services.
• Coordinate and oversee provisioning, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), fax solutions, and related communication services.
• Act as the technical authority for communication architecture, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with infrastructure, contact centre, security, and service management teams.
• Manage technical dependencies across multiple vendors and technology providers.
• Support testing, defect resolution, and acceptance activities.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, configurations, risk assessments, and implementation records.
• Provide technical guidance to specialist engineers while remaining hands-on with delivery activities.

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience with enterprise communications platforms.
• Strong expertise with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) / OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE) solutions.
• Experience designing and integrating large-scale voice and collaboration environments.
• Strong understanding of:
• SIP signalling
• Media flows
• Integration interfaces
• Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
• Experience working within highly available, multi-vendor enterprise environments.
• Proven track record supporting end-to-end testing and service validation.

Additional Knowledge

Experience with one or more of the following would be highly beneficial:

• Voice recording solutions
• Alarm and notification systems

Leadership Experience

• Technical leadership of complex communication or collaboration programmes.
• Ability to coordinate specialist resources across multiple technical disciplines.
• Experience working in time-critical delivery environments.
• Strong problem-solving and defect management capabilities.

Requirements

• Professional English language skills.
• Willingness to attend onsite meetings in Frankfurt when required.
• Ability to work effectively within strict project timelines.
• Comfortable operating within regulated and security-conscious environments.
